Free Roam
Just how much are players able to free roam? I know that we can go and do whatever we like on one particular location like Old Russia for example, but can players travel to other planets and locations at will? I heard somewhere that players have to have a quest in that location in order to travel there, but they can essentially do what they want when they get there. Is this true?

What you're probably looking into is going on a patrol (like some other people have said) like me. Drop down in an area and just start prowling around, looking for what kind of trouble I can get into.

Yes you can! A game mode called patrol has been confirmed by bungie, where you can go and do whatever you want

Edited by leblnk: 3/29/2014 6:19:48 PMI'm under the impression that if you go to the tower and hop in your ship you can go anywhere you want, as long as you have it unlocked. If it's all unlocked—the universe—from the beginning, that would be amazing for all of us. As far as planet exploration... I would almost guarantee free roaming. Gotta find that rare loot!
