Vault of Glass

I do not know if a post like this has been made. But i really think it would be wise, so people who think they can just do the raid and don't know anything about it will get informed. First of all i've participated in a raid though and we failed because MAJORITY of the people i was invited by were litterally either incompetent or not high enough lvl and had lousy gear. The raid says lvl 26 for a reason though, so being lvl 26 is defently recommended BUT thats not just all. It is also HIGHLY recommended having atleast full legendary AND legendary weapons or better. The reason why you need legendary weapons or better is you need to keep an elite Praetorian, which btw can 2 shot you no matter what gear you have, off a "platform". The way the starting part of the raid works is simple really, you take these platforms until a spire is created (Yes just like on the missons you've done. Like standing in a white circle while spawning a Gate Lord, only here it's a spire that is created instead to open the door to the Vault of Glass). Further after you kill the first Praetorian and you take the platform, you need to keep the Spawning Praetorians from taking it back, but maybe some of you think "Pff peace of cake", i'd hate to disappoint you but a lvl 25 with rare gear will fail SOOOOOO hard at it, that it will hurt you badly so you'll feel the pain weeks later. Anyways, also at the same time of keeping the praetorians off these platforms, Trash mobs will spawn with Hobgoblins and everyone of us surely knows HOW annoying a hobgoblin can be but these are even worse as they CAN one -shot you instantly if you aren't careful. And that ofcoruse is ONLY the first part of the raid, but if you're level 24-25 and have full rare gear, i recommend you level up and gear up with legendary and maybe a piece of exotic or two because you will be slaughtered. So rather spend your time on doing pvp or strikes for instance and get some better gear than what you have, instead of ATTEMPTING to do the raid and fail at it and waste an hour or two on doing nothing but dying. Oh yeah btw the raid also takes A LONG TIME to pull off... The first people who pulled of the raid actually spend around 10-15 hrs on it from what i hear so i guess, you kinda can get a picture of what's waiting for you...
