Destiny, a complete lore guide (part one)

Hey guardians eyes here with a little update… This and the following few posts will cover, well all my research. The point of this post is to just compile all my research into one place. This is will be dated and kept as a log. If new information comes to light then I will create a new post. Anyway, on to the good stuff, this post will all be history of humanity stuff, all pre collapse. If we read the tale of the vex ghost fragments we see the story of the the ishtar collective and their attempt to escape a vex simulations. By the end of it they have million of researchers combing through the vex gate network, and most likely where maya got the information needed to build the device. This also leads me to believe that's why the ishtar collective is so important. Who knows what vex secrets they have in there. Now let's talk a little more about maya. We know she started the FWC and also the chasm logs, we also know that she was the first test subject, but the records of her really cut off there. I'd be willing to that she is now the stranger and here's why. we know that exos are human consciousness in a robot shell We know that the stranger and Maya both have fairly distant but still existing relations to today's FWC We can be pretty sure maya saw the collapse coming with the device We know the stranger isn't a guardian but still l fights the vex Maya would have a reason to fight the vex Maya would have the capability to get vex tech, after all she worked on the device Next let's talk about the jackals. I know some of you aren't crazy about this theory and some of you would defend it wish your lives (the plants and animals know who they are) but I ask you to just suspend disbelief for a minute. If you don't want to go ahead and skip down a little bit. So I think the stranger was still around during this time, helping defend humanity If you listen to the gunsmith then you will hear say a few interesting things... "What was the name of that officer? Only I remember her, and so little. How her rifle jammed, then gone." "What was her name. Fierce eyes, full of light. The hell was it." "Best Exo I ever served under up and vanished one night. That's war." Now a few facts to back this up. 1) the stranger is a girl, she could be the officer that banshee refers to 2) the stranger can disappear at will, again. Banshee says that she disappeared, with her that could be possible. 3) if we look at the gunsmith in game description it reads "there are few guns he has not seen, even fewer he can't fix" he could have had a hand to hand in upgrading the stranger's rifle 4) the stranger's grimore card (not the ghost fragment) says that some believe she is the last of an exo squadron, fighting a long forgotten war We also see in ghost Fragment: The Exo Stranger 2 the stranger's possible discovery with of the jackals RECORD 084-BRIDGE-10.7 Right When this time, wrong Where. The world so big on the horizon — wasn't expecting it. As it happens, something's here that's not supposed to be, other than myself. Will return. RECORD 092-BRIDGE-08.1 Configuration worked, mostly. Arrived under the surface, surrounded. Too slow to return, barely fought to a vantage point. Yes there is dark evil here, and not the one we chase. Suggest no other attempts without more care. RECORD 120-BRIDGE-05.3 They are feral on the surface but their intent is complex behind the teeth and claws. More is shared with the machines than common enemies alone. Now I know that you're thinking this is taking about the hive, but the stranger refers to the hive later as literally “the hive”. Plus she is chasing the hive, and these are apparently not the ones they seek. They are also relayed to the vex, who are very close to the darkness. She then also says she will make no more attempts without more care, then immediately talks about walking up to a hive ritual so… I think it's safe to say these guys aren't hive. My bet is Jackal. Now I'm gonna finish off the stranger since the rest of the events can't really be placed on a time line. I'm pretty sure that she has met Osiris. Both explored the vex gate network, and I also think Osiris has seen the jackals. If we look at the fear in too it's all Egyptian, maybe modeled after them? I think so. Ok, I think that about does it for all the pre collapse stuff, not a whole lot here.
