Dredged Yor a hunter!

I need some lore help. Was dredgen Yor a hunter? And was Shim Malphur a bad guy?

    Dredged you was a hunter with a legendary weapon called rose. The darkness corrupted him and his weapon, turning it in to Thorn, He murdered hundreds of guardians, and took their ghosts so they were truly dead and couldn't be revived. I think Shin was murdered by him
