Torn Destiny - Chapter Two

Kane summoned his Sparrow, a XVO "Timebreaker", he mounted the vehicle, placing his left leg on its respective pedal. He clicked the trigger on one of the handles, and he shot forward, steering towards Skywatch. "Ghost, how long until evac?" Kane rounded a bend and stood in front of Skywatch sitting in his sparrow. "Calculating," Ghost spoke as she appeared in front of him, "evac estimated to be in... twenty-four minutes." Kane nodded,"I hate to do this Ghost." Ghost just nodded, and disappeared again. Kane was lucky, the Fallen patrols had gone somewhere else for the night patrols. All that was left was the hive breeding ground... Kane stood in front of the entrance to the grounds, he crouched. Vvwink! Kane stood up and began to sprint through the grounds. The thralls' faces were scratched, mutilated, destroyed. The acolytes' arms were bony and covered in feces. The only knight there stood at an astounding six feet, five inches. His arms the width of a sparrow and he was covered in armor as thick and stronger than relic iron. Kane ignored it, he could feel his invisibility dropping. He ran faster, he brushed arms with a thrall. Realizing his mistake, he drew his knife and Blink Stroke the thrall, gaining a ten more seconds of invisibility. But he had alarmed the other Hive, they drew their weapons and began to patrol around the ground, swatting the air, checking for Kane. He dodged all of their swipes, and left the ground with only one second to spare of invisibility. Kane caught up with his breath, then peeked into the next room. It was Hive and Fallen combatting each other. If he could do it right, they would ignore him outright... "Use your super charge, you have it set to Vanish. You'll be fine." Ghost's voice rang out in his head. Kane nodded. He channelled the Light into his blade, the Arc Blade super charge.. He felt a burst of energy, he drew his knife from its sheath and used the energy to power it even more. Bzzz... Bang! Crack! His knife became a spectacular color and he entered the Blade Dancer stance, his knife drawn into an Icepick grip, his legs spread apart from one another. Kane twisted his body, he spun in the air and he felt himself become invisible. Thirty seconds, I can do this. The super charge allowed him to move with ease, his agility and dexterity had been amplified ten fold. He slid with ease through the enemy lines, he exited the room. "Nice job." He heard Ghost compliment him. He smiled softly under his helmet, then kept walking out of Skywatch.
