Rules: https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/884122/108906951 Suggested chat program: http://www.chatzy.com/ A lot of guardians haven't been willing to get into the social aspect of the game because they're uncomfortable with interacting with other people for fear of embarrassment and other social stresses. There is no need to worry like that in this clan; we take in any kind of player here. A lot of people had heard the horror stories of DestinyLFG and that has done nothing to help their feelings of awkwardness. This clan is built around that worry and hopefully making you feel a bit better about that. There are absolutely no requirements to join Awkward Guardians. - We do not require mics, and if you have them we do not need you to use them if you're uncomfortable with that. - You can be any experience level from fresh in the tower to an experienced raider. - You do however need to read the rules posted at the top.

Best type of weapon loadout VoG?

I've not done VoG yet and was wondering your thoughts on best types of primaries, special and heavies to bring along. Thx.

Opening the door: * Any primary, preferably with void damage for dealing with praetorians and their void shields * Shotgun for dealing with praetorians up-close, which is surprisingly effective since the patch (I'm fond of using Found Verdict here, proving you don't need void damage or 331 attack) * Void machine gun or rocket launcher, again for dealing with praetorians Confluxes: * Scout rifle (possibly also pulse rifle) for medium- to long-distance precision shots on the hordes of goblins * Shotgun, for dealing with minotaurs. Also good for crowd control on right conflux. * Machine gun (preferably void). Good for the minotaurs, but also good for crowd control in general (MGs are better at sparse crowd control than RLs are) Oracles: * Atheon's Epilogue with Oracle Disruptor, if you have it, to shoot the oracles. Next-best is Vision of Confluence, then Fatebringer. Otherwise, any primary will do. * Sniper rifle for taking out hobgoblins * MG or RL, but I'm partial to MGs. Super Good Advice is good for taking out oracles, as all hits will count as misses and return ammo. Templar: * Any primary, you'll be dealing with a lot of harpies. * Sniper rifle, for dealing high precision damage to Templar. Ice Breaker is a solid choice, but don't waste shots on your containment shield unless you have to. Otherwise, any sniper with reasonable damage and clip size will do just fine. * MG. You don't want to be shooting rockets right as a containment bubble surrounds you. Unless you know what you're doing. Super Good Advice is good for taking out containment shields, as all hits will count as misses and return ammo. Gorgons: * Do not use your weapons, period. Well, unless you're killing a gorgon for the grimoire card, in which case any high-damage heavy will do. Make sure the rest of your team is in on this if you do it! Gatekeeper: * Scout/pulse rifle for dealing with adds * Sniper rifle for taking out hobgoblins that spawn across the room and for dealing damage to Gatekeepers * MG or RL for dealing damage to Gatekeepers Inside the portals, basically just focus your fire on the gatekeeper while avoiding the adds Atheon: * Atheon's Epilogue with Oracle Disruptor, if you have it, to shoot the oracles. Next-best is Vision of Confluence, then Fatebringer. Otherwise, something for dealing with the Supplicants (aka, Kamikaze Harpies) * Sniper for dealing damage to Atheon * NO ROCKETS. They make Atheon move around, making it difficult to get sniper shots on his crit zone. Rockets may be good for Venus portal, otherwise MG for Atheon if you're not using a sniper, or just save your MG for the Supplicants. * NO GRENADES. Again, they make Atheon move around, especially the AOE ones. Throw grenades at the Minotaur in Venus.
