Hey Guys,
I have only ever dabbled in the Crucible, mainly because I suck terribly, but I thougth I would give the Iron Banana a go this time 'round - I have not entered it since it first appeared a year ago. Somehow, with my limited time in Destiny full stop, I have managed to get to Rank 3 this time.
What I don't get is that I'm at best 267 light, with my strongest Primary being the Treads Upon Stars Scout Rifle, I have no Hand Canon worth speaking of, and my best special is a blue Shotgun worth 255. BUT I do OK in the IB.By OK, I mean I score about 1500 most times. I still really suck, but that is not why I am asking.
In std Crucible where we are supposedly on a level playing field - I get hosed every single time! Lucky to score 400. I just don't geddit :(.
Can someone explain how the levelling works in PVP, and WHY, if level advantages are disabled in standard Crucible do different guns matter? And what do the white and blue lines above the red health bar on enemies mean?
Sorry to sound so stupid, but I want to get better at this, as I enjoy it now (used to hate it a lot), and I just don't understand the levelling and gun selection setup.... more than willing to practice to improve my skills - that isn't a worry. :)
Sorry to waffle on guys.
Cheers, Nerdy

Everybody and their mother jumps into iron banana.... it thins out the good players. A surprising number of people play little to no crucible at all. Makes it a little more competitive.

Sooooo much goes into crucible for staters those lines you talked about the white is the overshoeld type thing than after THATS it's health in iron banner and trials level advantages are enabled so if you go up against a light level 300 he will have the advantage I don't know the exact numbers but with skill U should still be able to take him down I doubt it makes much of a difference.
