Handcannons

Hello fellow guardians, Just wanted to ask some advice on handcannons for my hunter. I haven't been lucky enough to get a legendary or exotic (hawkmoon...drool) and wanted to ask which is a good compromise for pve and PvP. I mainly play pve but do play PvP occasionally. Is 'The Devil you know' any good? I can't earn anymore points now but will get that when the reset happens.... Unless The Last Word is sold by Xur tomo (heres hoping).
