Ascendant shards

1 ReplyDaily heroic on level 28, gives a chance for either 2 ascendant shards or energy. Weekly nightfall strike. Breaking down extra legendary armor (Queen's Wrath armor being dismantled won't give ascendant shards anymore). Doing your first public event. And leveling up your vendors to get the items at the postmaster. So far that is how I have been collecting all of mine.
