I use the turtle beach P12's for 60 bucks the sound is great and the chat is clear, game sounds great. They are wired to the console usb port but for me that's not an issue.

I got the Sony gold's and they work. Its not as costly as Astros and they do just as good as them. They are comfortable and you can adjust the volume of the game and voice chat.

Turtle Beach PX4s have a game volume knob on them. It doesn't affect chat volume seeing how that's controlled in the PS4 adjust device menu. You can turn chat volume up or down. Only downside is that you have to plug the headset into the controller but the headset is wireless to the console. Hopefully Sony will update this...

PS4 official gold series headset (wireless and vss) Between $70 and $100 at GameStop

I recommend the Sony PS Gold wireless Headsets. Cheaply priced, comfortable and virtually indestructible.
-
the ones with speakers in them usually work pretty well
-
if you're looking for all platform headphones get set of astro a40's

I bought the Sony Golds just for Destiny. I like the headset, you can adjust the in game chat and game environment to whatever level you want. Unfortunately, for Destiny, it was a waste of money because I have no reason for the mic.

Check out the Playstation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset if your looking for a headset with great ps4 compatibility. The headset has a built in game/chat volume rocker so if one side is too loud [game sound in your case] you can increase the chat volume and lower the game volume with the press of a single button. The headset even supports game specific audio modes via a companion app you dl on your ps4 and the app actually does have a specific Destiny audio mode. It's about $80 on amazon if you're thinking about getting it and I'd say it's well worth the money from a convenience standpoint

I jus use the camera it's so convenient

I'm pretty sure there is an option to adjust the game/voice volume in the settings somewhere.
