Gameplay looks like what we would expect from an AC game, with some Gangs of New York thrown in. Nothing too new, but I'm still somewhat excited.
I've been playing AC games since day 1, and no matter how bland or repetitive they are, the story and historical fiction always bring me back. Unfortunately I stopped playing after 3, as work and school have gotten the best of me. But I look forward to picking up where I left off.
Are you an AC fan? Are you excited for Syndicate?

There isn't co-op or multiplayer I heard.

I really can't support Ubisoft anymore with their AC business plan. They release way too many Assassin's titles. It was nice at first to have a new game every year, but people are burnt out on the franchise because there's no need for these games to be perennial. They don't offer anything in the way of replay value, and the multiplayer has always been dreadful. Ubisoft NEEDS to take a step back and reassess the entire franchise.

I'll just leave this here.

Edited by Bloodylaser: 5/18/2015 3:45:45 AMBought AC4 day one loved the hell out of it but I never bought Unity after the disaster of that launch was but I hear it's better I might snag a used copy of it but I hear the story is dreadful.

I'm done with AC now, they seem to be beating a dead horse. The last AC I bought was 3. Hopefully, they can make it good again.

Love Gangs of New York. I'm excited but cautious.
-
I've played them all and the best one by far was black flag. Probably one of the best games on next gen.
-
After Revalation, Ac became worst and worst. Mechanics went to shit and the story died after ACIII. Ac 4's story was terrible BUT the gameplay was "okay". Don't get me started on unity and Syndicate looks like shit so far...
Yea, I'm mad.
I wish they kept the old name, I'll get it when I get an xb1. Hope it isn't like unity though
-
So... 2 AC games in one year? AC is becoming the new COD.

Edited by addiecorps: 5/16/2015 2:03:33 AMThe quality looks great, but I'm tired of buying Assassin's Creed games. I'm milked dry, kill me now...

I love AC but this pisses me off. Did no one else notice that audio from ACU was ported into ACS? One of the enemies sounded just like what guards sound like in ACU. That's lazy and unacceptable.
-
Oh look, an AC game that tries to be different again. I guess Ubisoft remembered people actually liked how Black Flag changed the game.

So Great Depression theme? Like what going on in that photo

Definite buy for me.

I wanted a Victorian setting since the huge time jump from 1 to 2. Things kind of looked up for 4. Not the best game considering it was more so casualised but it had the best out of animus sequences in the series. The whole pirate theme broke up the monotony of the usual in the series. With Unity announced I had high, high hopes. One of the best time periods ever if not the best. Ruined, and no not just due to technical issues. Gameplay was -blam!-ing awful. You would try to do one thing and your character would do another. The new so called revamped combat wasn't new, it just made enemies bigger sponges. The story: Lol, lol, lol. Terrible and forgetful. More focus on the fiction characters rather than the historical ones.
For -blam!-s sake you got to see the King one time! At his execution no less.
Instead of the time period being the story they -blam!-ed off and made the time period the background setting to a snoozefest story. And of course the technical issues. No need to go into those. I barely finished the game. It's rare that a game is just so bad that I have to push myself to finish it. As a day 1 player I waited for one of these yearly games to finally break the straw on the camel's back. After unity I'll not play another. Tl;Dr Unity made me quit, but I hope Syndicate is much better for those sticking with the series.
-
Eh, maybe. I miss seeing the modern-day story evolve with each game, but after the killed of Desmond, I lost alot of interest. I still played them all, but I just don't get the same feeling playing them. The Animus concept is basically dead.
-
Awesome, only if they actually fix all the bugs and other various issues. Assassin's Creed Unity runs like shit on all platforms.
-
This looks a lot different to all of the other games, but I think the combat it a bit too fast and the parkour hasn't really changed that much. Also, it feels like they are pumping these things out now

Assassin's creed is an okay series. I liked Unity a lot outside of it's rough launch. I think Syndicate will probably be good.
