Will The House Of Wolves Kill Destiny?
Yes, Raids are getting boring. But I still want my house of wolves raid.
An arena NPC competition? em... not so sure that's the best cure.
How about adding some flight, fly around destroy fallen ships. Explore the Traveler. But
Prison of elders is going to be boring, The premise is boring.
Crotas end was not as interesting as Vault of Glass.
What about adding an archaeology aspect to the game.
I mean, I am not going to spend money for the next expansion. :p

Update: Tried Prison of Elders and was not impressed. Same gameplay, more grinding, more bullet sponges. Really boring. The only thing I like about the game is the people I get to chat with online. Went back to play Bioshock 2. Lousy Gameplay/ better story plot. Starwars Battle Front is due to be released in a few months. This game will kill bungie's destiny.

Played atheon and crota raids loads and had fun evrytime, played prison of elders once, I might do it 1 more time as a have a key left but I really cant see myself playing this crap much longer, am I going to wait for hours on end to farm keys...No! Am I hell I want a game thats fun, even manic miner had more content.lol

2 RepliesWhat destiny is missing is the mental challenge. The game has all the right stuff to be great it just needs more puzzles. They make us grind for keys and grind to increase our weapons because it looks good with long play time. Challenging puzzles can do the same. Look at any Zelda game tons of puzzles and a high play time too. With destiny the game is go here shoot this go somewhere else shoot that. At least with raids there's a puzzle were a group of people have to team up and find solutions to the game.

It's hard to kill Destiny with the best expansion ever. Basically everything from Gears of War was thrown into Destiny for $20. Plus global event bounties. If you don't see the greatness, then play something else.

Yes, destiny was sold to me for its sicusl aspect. But let's look at that ... Mist activities are 3 man, they're easy you can chat n laugh and callnouts are minimum so you can party chat with all 6 members of your raid team. Enter the raid as six you can still chat n laugh cos call outs are relevant to all in the group, prison if elders now you must drop 3 players call out are relevant so chat groups dissolve the social aspect dwindles chats become less chatty n more game focussed. Now PoE needs treasure keys to attain final loot some of the people have them some don't, teams get mixed up swapped around, hell some just don't even bother to play due to no keys. 3 member fire teams if friends is now 3 strangers from LFG Strangers who don't chat ... The game becomes mundane and boring and you begin to feel the grind as a chore cos you're no longer having fun with friends but chasing some forever out if reach carrot on a stick with another bunch of brainless donkies. Those who see thus will leave, those who really are brainless donkeys will stick with lfg and play in silence and will no longer be a social activity Gaming is a social event for some that why we play MMO style games ... If we wanted silence wed play freedom fighter with AI we control, at least they're less likely to do something stupid causing a wipe for the 100th time

It's better but it's almost like different game. You know destiny seems to get frustrated people saying the game is impossibly hard or boringly easy

Yeah, you're making good suggestions, but in terms of feasibility within the existing framework, PoE was actually a pretty good idea. Do they need to keep adding new mechanics instead of just re-hashing all the things we've already been doing? Heck yeah. But in the mean time, it's nice to see them do something at least somewhat creative - especially with how many people were asking for a hoard mode.

Guys its a grinding game. Sure you dont have as many areas to di it in, but other than that its like any MMORPG. You grind your ass of for gear that may take days or weeks

Personally i'd rather raid the travellers death star then battle glactic bums. The traveller is the reason why mankind got wrecked since darkness did follow him to us. Personally, id choose death to them all. P.S. Also, why are the Cabal enemies when they moved into mars after mankind collapsed. The first time you encounter them YOU are breaking into a military base of theirs.

For casual player and fanboys the content will probably be more than enough. For me, well I might go back to PoE if I can ever find a damn key while I'm doing the Queens bounties. No I'm not going to farm chests, that's just stupid and so far waste of time. I'm not chasing the carrot ever again and they can't make me. I just won't play that part of the game I guess. I will get my Etheric light from the raids and NF.

Nope. Sorry, OP; but Bungie brought back Firefight. If anything, that saved Destiny for me. Just that one playlist/game type holds so much promise that it has given the Breath of Life to Destiny IMO. I see myself spending quite a bit of time in the Prison; ergo, quite a bit of time on Destiny.

As much as a enjoy the game I don't see myself spending money on the full expansion. The couple new areas are cool but it's mostly retread. I think maybe Destiny was to much for Bungie to pull off.
