Captains have shields which would be hard to break unless you have arc damage or a strong weapon, in hand to hand captains will take down your shields in a few hits or even kill you in one. Marines have been fighting in urban areas and are used to fighting enemys that use weapons similar to the it own. The captains weapon launches arc bullets that will seek enemy targets out. Then we have to worry about spider tanks, which are going to wipe the floor with the Marines unless they can somehow avoid every shot they shoot. The 10000 captains could all only fire one burst and wipe the Marines out. I am not saying that marines are terrible at what they do, but against 10000 captains and only 100 marines and navy seals I think the captains advanced technology would be able to wipe the floor with marines.
