Do you have numbers to back this up? Please don't tell me you based this statement on your own personal misconceptions.....

Numbers posted in response to Ben sparks in this sub thread.

The average American works 1700 hours a year that's 32 hours a week I do more than that in 3 days

I'll just go ahead and break down some stats for you. ZERO industrialized countries are without paid parental leave. Except the US. BTW Europe gets 20. At least 134 countries have laws setting a max work week. Not the US. 85.8% of men AND 66.5 percent of women average more than 40 hours per week. Americans on average work 137 more hours than Japanese workers, 260 more hours than British workers, and 499 more than french. There is no law requiring sick days. The US is the only industrialized county without a mandated amount of leave time. BTW how are those 20 paid vacation days a year treating you?

You forgot bank holidays aswel and that doesn't mean you do all that tho also doesn't apply to people if you have More than 1 job so
-
there are your stats Spin em how you want em. You aren't guaranteed bank holidays in the US

Edited by shonik09: 4/29/2015 4:23:52 PMI wasn't asking for your own interpretations of the statistics. Are you a statistician? Proof? Do you have articles with similar analysis?

Anything else?
