Edited by Vilhelmus II: 4/30/2015 11:08:19 AMUnited States of America Wars won by itself: Civil war(against itself) Mexican war(Against poorly armed Mexicans) Wars lost: Civil War(?) 1812(Got your ass kicked by Canada, how does that make you feel?) Vietnam(Lost to a bunch of people in pyjamas) Bay of pigs(Oddly enough you somehow lost in a place that was dedicated to you) Other: War on terrorism(Still haven't figured out that you can't kill an action/verb yet...)

The Vietnamese were more than just people in pyjamas... The U.S was also limited on how far north they could advance due to China -- a country nobody should want to go to war with.
-
You're right, the Vietnamese also had holes.
-
"one by itself" "one" Lol I'm done. Giving (trying) history lessons, and can't spell a -blam!-ing three letter word in his own language. -blam!- me sideways, there is no hope for humanity.
-
Bravo, do you want a cookie? Or do you want to know that you're literally the only person who noticed? Will that help your faith in humanity?
-
So, because I'm the only one on this forum smart enough to notice, that somehow makes it less stupid? If it helps you sleep at night.
-
Edited by Vilhelmus II: 4/30/2015 11:28:33 AMNo, it doesn't make it any less stupid. I just thought I'd point that out, help raise your faith in humanity. I fail to see how this has any correlation with my sleeping pattern...

Technically America won the war of 1812 which was between Britain and America
-
America tried to conquer Canada... They failed. I.e. didn't win, lost. Your most likely thinking of the 1776-1783 war known as the revolutionary war.
-
No im talking about 1812 which started because Britain attacked American merchant ships in Europe. This was close to the time of the French Revolution
-
Edited by Vilhelmus II: 4/30/2015 5:24:45 PMIt started because America attacked Canada. Can't get back at the British? We'll just go raze, murder and -blam!- one of their colonies instead. But we all saw how that turned out, didn't we.

Edited by bramur596: 4/30/2015 2:42:29 AMActually the war of 1812 was won nor lost a peaceful resolution was reached and it wasn't canada it was british forces in canada (and the capital city of Canada was burned in the process sooo...)
-
Actually the war of 1812 was won nor lost a peaceful resolution was reached
Yes, after Canada captured all the states bordering it, with the American's having no significant victories, and somehow being completely incapable of beating a country who's population was no more than 300 thousand.
and it wasn't canada it was british forces in canada
... Right, so people living in Canada, but not Canadians? Am I missing something here. Ah well, guess America never won a war since the all came from Britain. So all those self proclaimed amazing victories were actually the british, interesting.
(and the capital city of Canada was burned in the process sooo...)
Yes, and so was Washington, your point? Though of course the noble America, who supposedly fought for their freedom sought to invade another country. The first actual invasion of Canada was during the Revolutionary war 1776-1783. In which, a group of American militants decided to attacks Quebec, because Quebec wouldn't help them in the fight against the British (They remained neutral in the conflict, as did Nova Scotia, formerly Acadia) since George Washington openly shunned and attacked the French culture. Thus giving them no reason to risk their secured future, without promise of a better one. The Americans went to Quebec. They were beaten. By civilians. In Quebec. So, to surmise, Canadians fought for Canada, America showed hostile intent before the war even started, and the outcome of the war was that Canada had to give back all the land it captured from America, because the Americans sued for peace. Interesting that you weren't taught this in school. Though U.S.A History seems to contradict every other countries' history books. Perhaps I can find a copy in the fiction section of the library?

Im aware of the things you mentioned such as the burned of the us capital and the taking over of said states by "Canada" (British) but your reponse is extremely biased, thought-less, and butt-hurt and those things make it worthless, i was just stating facts and you just raged also calm down this post is supposed to be a joke lol
-
Edited by Vilhelmus II: 4/30/2015 11:13:14 AMTell me, if it was so thoughtless, how did you not manage to come up with a valid counter argument? I stated many facts, you jus fail to acknowledge them because they prove you wrong.
-
But i did acknowledge them...
-
First of im aware that the U.S capital was burned as well and that "Canada" *cough cough* the British *cough cough* took over said states, but all im saying is that a peaceful resolution was reached, your (butt-hurt) response shows that you are obviously biased against America and Americans while i was simply stating facts :/ (good day sir)
-
Also cuban refugees fought the bay of pigs not americans
-
... Right, let's just go with that because reasons...
-
And you forgot we one the revolutionary war by ourself
-
No you did not. France funded you with what would e equivalent to 4 billion dollars today, and they bottled up Cornwallis's troops.
-
And you forgot we one the revolutionary war by ourself
Um what.... we had help from the french. Anyway all this fighting of which countries are better is moronic and childish.
-
Vietnam ended in a cease fire from both sides, so not a loss
-
That was eventually broken by North Vietnam pretty soon after we left, so it had little effect on the eventual outcome.
