I've had friends who used it. They were my friends before they started smoking.
When they smoked, they were lame. All they wanted to do was lay around and "enjoy" the moment. So I sat there, bored. They knew I didn't smoke it, but that's what they wanted to do. They weren't overly concerned about my interests. They would always invite me over just to be there with them. Needless to say, I quit going
My friends started wearing the hemp clothing. It trite and cliche. It made me sick, almost physically. They adopted the whole self absorbed culture, recanting their religion for the abused Rastafarian. Anything the posted on through social networking was drug related, everything. They became one dimensional. Financially, they couldn't save a dime. Almost all available funds went towards their new found hobby.
They moved out from their parents' house because of differences concerning freedom. Their parents knew they smoked and didn't want it in the house or yard. They also weren't going to the bail them out of trouble. These were there rules, but it was too much, too infringing and unfair
The sloth about, doing nothing
If they could hold a job and personality, I wouldn't mind.
To those who smoke,
If you have aspirations in life, and weed isn't a mechanism or method for your goals, I commend you. I dislike weed because of its potential to rule over someone's conscience.
