The Cabal are the toughest enemy to fight in the game, that is why Mars is the last destination you go to. I just wish they were larger.

Destiny pre-alpha like 2013/ beginning 2014. The cabal looked bigger in the footage that bungle showed. But when the game launched the cabal seemed smaller

Probably had to downscale for performance. They couldn't be too much larger either or every one would be a boss.
