You do realise that they are slightly reducing the damage of wolfpack rounds because most people who have gjallahorn won't play with people who don't right?
So by you guys creating even more gjallahorn only groups bungie will only nerf it even more.

Then why did you say "Slightly"? Because you're trying to soften the blow. Bungie didn't say "Slightly" - they said "Reduced the damage of wolfpack rounds". As far as we know, it was 50% or more.

But did they say it's 50% or more? No they didn't so until they come out with a figure or percentage of how much they're reduced it by no one knows. For all you know it could be a 10-20% reduction

That's the point - nobody knows. They specified numbers and percentages all the way up until the Gally and Year 1 Perk Nerf... then they went vague on us. So we don't know how severe it is - which means you can't downplay it as "a slight nerf" when you really have no idea.

I agree with you but at the same time it can't be overplayed to the degree it has been throughout the forums. You never know they might be bluffing in an attempt to stop the elitist culture around gjallahorn.

Don't fool yourself - this has nothing to do with the elitist culture and everything to do with nerfing a weapon which they see as too powerful. The more whiny elements of the community just gave them the scapegoat. If their goal was to stop the elitist culture, all they had to do was sell it via Xur. Problem solved.

But in truth it is about the elitist culture as everytime xur sells a weapon threads automatically pop up with I earned my *insert weapon* and the whole xurner vs earners topics. In selling gjallahorn there would be a massive upset by most of the people that have gjallahorn. Don't get me wrong I hope they do sell gjallahorn again at somepoint as they have sold icebreaker several times now but I think bungie want to keep gjallahorn as an elusive weapon of rng

It's not about the forum topics - they're trying to say it was because people were being excluded from Raid groups. You know what would fix that? Let Xur sell it. You know what else would fix it? Matchmaking. They nerfed it because it was overpowered and they're using the Elitism as a scapegoat. Period. PS: Rumor has it that the reason Xur has no weapon today was because it was supposed to be the Ballerhorn for sale and Bungie broke it.

Yeah i've just seen the images of gjallahorn in xur's inventory before it "glitched" out. Bungie have some answering to do. It's nearly 6 hours after xur dropped and bungie have done nothing to fix the missing gun. How much you betting they are in a meeting and can't decide what weapon to sell instead of gjallahorn or just to go ahead and sell it anyway
