I played halo for the first time on mcc collection and I didn't understand why it is praised so much. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game but I don't know why people treat like it's special. However, Halo 5 looks promising and I feel like it may be one of the best games I've ever played.

You have to keep in mind that even 4, which is the most recent installment, was several years ago. Each game is just older and older no matter how pretty they made the graphics look NOW. For their time, they were probably the best things out there.

Probably because it revolutionized gaming and it's consistent and has a good story. It's not for everyone though, and people all have their own taste. :] I grew up playing Halo, which is part of the reason I love it so much. That and Halo and Gears is all Xbox/Microsoft has.

One of the first games I ever played on the original Xbox as well. :) The second game I ever played on it, if I'm remembering correctly.
