No, still love playing this. At least Halo is in good hands now. Halo 5 will be epic thank goodness they got a developer in that knows what they are doing.
Bungievision's current game just shows how Bungie of old are dead. Don't get me wrong Bungie used to be an amazing developer. R.I.P Bungie 09/09/14
*bows head in respect*
I don't really care for the opinion of 343 haters, wannabe be trolls, fanboys/girls and scrubs that have no taste or haven't ever played Halo.

Bungie haven't died yet, they've just been slowly shooting themselves in the foot with a Spiker since May 21, 2012.

Agreed. It's nice that 343 has learned from Halo 4's mistakes when making Halo 5. I'll be honest, the Halo 4 story was terrible in comparison to the original Halos but Halo 5 looks fantastic :)

The problem most people had was with it was the casualised MP. 343 do a better job with the story than Bungie ever did =}

The story had a great premise, but ultimatley fell flat. The whole "we knew you would be here 100k years ago and prepared for it" is absurd. Add to that the fact that the didact and the librarian both somehow both survived, and it raises serious questions. Mainly, how does a species capable of seeing thousands of years into the future get taken down by a parasite, especially if they have that kind of stasis technology. Mu main gripe is that it took a grounded, realistic sci fi franchise, and added a bunch of prophecy and destiny, bordering on magic.

The main reason the Forerunners got overwhelmed by the flood was due to arrogance as they felt at the time humanity was no threat and only they were fit to hold the mantle. Then the human forerunner war distracted them from the threat of the flood even know they knew about it. Had the Didact been able to implement shield worlds as he wanted to, maybe things would have turned out a lot differently. The Master Builder's Halo array's that won the vote instead was always a last resort. The domain did allow them to see somewhat into the future but not everything and it was more a collective archive of past, present and the future that could be, they did lose connection with it too. If you saw the Didact's message on the terminal on Halo 3 on Halo mission (Legendary only). It goes someway to show 343 really just carried the story on and expanded on it vastly. It's worth watching all the terminals in Halo 4 too if you haven't as they explain a lot. However the Forerunner Saga is a must read for any Halo fan and I read it after Halo 4. It just really expands on Halo full stop but it also helps explain some of the issues you mentioned you had with the story. Forerunners could lie dormant for thousands of years in their Cryptums.

Edited by Clyd3Fr0g 2: 8/17/2015 9:06:23 PM343 fans are like "destiny is horrible because in order to get the story you need to find dead ghosts and read out of game text," but then when i say halo 4s story was farfetched, theyre like "find the easter eggs and read the books." Thats the definition of fanboy logic. That gentle trolling aside, the reason so many people dislike halos story is simple. For the overwhelming majority of those who played halo 4, two things are true: first, they have played a previous halo game; second, they have never read a halo book. Take that into account, and condsider that while for you (and admittedly most of the halo fans on this forum) the books may be canon, for most people they are not. Most of us entered halo 4 expecting master chief the killing machine, not mc the warrior of prophecy. For the first time halo turned from straightforward scifi into partial fantasy. As for 343 being a better home for halo than bungie, im not buying it. Bungie has been a letdown latley, but keep in mind that 343 has yet to make a single good game. Even their attempt to remaster bungies GOOD halos was a disaster. It seems like they set out with these grand ideas of everything they can accomplish, with no realistic idea of what they can do in the time alotted, and end up coming up short (ie, having to cut split screen within months of the final release of halo 5). Edit: as a side note, i do have high hopes for 343 and am super pumped for halo 5. I just dont get why everyone dickrides them so hard, theyve done nothing to deserve it.

I have to disagree with you about H4's story. I felt it was the best story. May not have be the best campaign but the story was great.
-
I just felt like they focused too much on Cortana and changed her too much from the previous games. I liked her sass and witty remarks better in Halo 2.
-
Well she was over 8 years old. And she knew she was going to die very soon. So of course she would act different. I liked The focus on cortana. This was possibly the last halo game you'd see her in.
-
I think I would start to act differently too if I knew I was about to go insane and die.
