No it wouldn't. Nobody would change their load outs, everyone would be using the same exact weapons over and over and over. It would make the game worse. It's time for new stuff.

Bungie has a bad history of making new weapons inferior to VoG weapons. Look at Fatebringer for example. A medium impact hand cannon that can hold 13 rounds and can reload insanely fast and can destroy mobs quickly. What other primary weapon can do that? Word of Crota? No, the stats on it are superior, but both perks don't support the weapon in any way. Six Dreg Pride? You're getting a hand cannon with the same impact as Fatebringer with Army of One. That's it.

That's why Fatebringer needs to be left behind. We need lots of new guns and alternatives, and the old stuff needs to be not usable for the new end game stuff.

So just because it's powerful means it should be left behind? Instead Bungie should introduce weapons that are just as fun and strong as Fatebringer, not something like Six Dreg Pride

That's incorrect they have buffed, nerfed, and added sets of legendaries in the game that are equal if not better than other legendary items in the game. Also who cares if I want to stick with my old guns in Destiny? If I'm having fun with them why does it matter?

Everyone uses the same exact guns and that's it. Gjally, Fatebringer, thorn, TLW. That won't change. Dark Below gave us Black Hammer and that's it. HoW gave us nothing. You can enjoy your old stuff, it's not like it's disappearing. Heck the TK content starts at level 25, way below the current strength of our weapons. End game content will require better gear.

But as we know it right now they are making year 1 content such as raids and PoE irrelevant. And why can't they just make weapons better than year 1 perk wise and give the players the option to choose?

You don't know that right now. You don't know their plans for the old stuff. They won't do that bc people will choose what they know best. They know the old stuff the best, so the new stuff becomes unused

So its impossible to nerf year 1 exotics and buff year 2 exotics to create a middleground?

They nerfed year one exotics? Year 2 exotics will come fresh with the weapon patch
