Eh, I get where this is coming from (and think it'll happen eventually), but I feel like we need to start branching out with our gear/weapon variety. If we bring Y1 exotics into Y2, then we'll all probably want Y1 and Y2 exotics in Y3 and Y 1/2/3 in Y4 etc... I for one don't want to be using the same stuff year after year after year. I cringe at the thought of using GHorn in year 10. Hell, I'd hate to be using it in Y3.

But thats a bungies job to make better weapons so we can decide ourselves when to retire our old weapons. If theres something better than the fatebringer or gjallahorn i will use it and not use the older ones.

Then give us a weapon that will make us WANT to retire our Gjallarhorn. Let us use the new weapon for a while. Then let US say that we don't like Gjallarhorn anymore. Don't force us. This could have been handled so much better. Instead, they pitted the collectors against the casuals. It is valid to play as a collector or a casual, and we should both get what we want. As a collector, I want my Thorn at my side for ALL 10 YEARS. I may decide not to use it all the time, but I will absolutely want to dust it off every now and then to reminisce.

So you want a weapon that's better than GHorn? What would that be, something that'll 1-shot raid bosses? If there was something that was significantly better than GHorn, then when the time came to bring new weapons into the game they would have to make something better than that and where would we be at that point? The game would be broken and we would be complaining about that. Trust me, I'm sad that GHorn isn't coming to Y2 (as of right now), but I just hope that everyone understands the REASONING behind the decisions that have been made.
