Yes. I [i]hated[/i] the story in Halo 4 and I feel the same way about the rest of 343i's story and additions to the lore as well.

Because I noticed too many contradictions with canon and when it came to stuff from the Forerunner Saga too many things that just didn't really fit in Halo or belong in the series for whatever reason (either not fitting the way the genre was executed or the themes, and so on). And the writing in Halo 4 felt rather simplistic to me and like the new characters weren't very well-developed or written. I think Halo 4 (and the rest of 343i's work with the story) probably would have been just fine if it was the start of its own, new IP/series, at the worst it would have simply been average and not really any better or worse than most of the games and series out there these days, it's mostly as a [i]Halo[/i] game and part of the series that it's particularly bad or insufferable...so yeah, if it were something standalone and the start of a new story that had nothing to do with Halo, I'd have absolutely no problem with it whatsoever. I'm not sure whether it'd have been a series I'd like or one that I'd enjoy, but I wouldn't actually have any problems with it at all.

That is correct. She certainly explained why she felt the way she felt but feelings don't mean much in a lack of evidence; she gave no concrete examples, is what I am saying.

No problem, with people I haven't talked to before and haven't really seen my thoughts or opinions on the subject of Halo I definitely try to put at least effort in...I get quite a bit lazier if it's someone that I've talked/debated/argued about it with before ^^' If you don't mind getting stuff spoiler for you and actually want [i]specific[/i] details about all of the stuff that I consider to be contradicting canon and/or as not really fitting in the series, you can read [url=http://princessarien.deviantart.com/journal/Halo-and-Why-I-Hate-the-Current-Writers-362092601]through this[/url] and the comments section on it to see all of my thoughts on it......though I will put it out there as fair warning, I wrote that mainly as a way to blow off steam and when I was [i]extremely[/i] frustrated/angry so there's a fair amount of cursing and ranting in the actual journal itself :/ For the most part I avoided that in the comments, but still, thought I should let you know and throw that little bit of warning out there so you wouldn't be surprised by any of it if you decided to read it....I really should write up a calm, edited, proof-read, cohesive version of that so I have an easy way of consistently explaining my opinion on the current state of the Halo series in future >_> 'Cause I'm not really all that sure I want people reading that whole unedited, stream of consciousness rant there whenever I need to sum it all up XD

Storytelling wise it was great but I felt it lacked big epic moments that were memorable to me. Like example taking on the scrab in halo 3 or the whole truth and reconciliation mission on halo 1. The lack of ammo was really annoying, and I didn't like fighting the Promethans.
