Because, outside of the magic hammer, there is practically no real use for the class. The grenades are ok at best, and we still have T-Rex arms for our melee. All that we really have is the ability to pull out a magical hammer and wreck some stuff. Yes it's broken as an individual ability. But it's balanced by the near-uselessness of the rest of the class.
