I have friends that smoke and have gotten fired from high paying jobs. Tell me that's a good thing.

My bosses at high paying jobs smoked with me. I used to work at a 5 star restaraunt and I'd get stoned before damn near every shift with the owner (who's a millionaire by the way). If you aren't supposed to smoke at a job I have a really simple solution: don't smoke. Your friends got fired for being stupid.

Just because your boss supports drugs doesn't mean everyone does. Also Restaurant name or it didn't happen.

I was mostly looking for clarity on whether there was any room in your stance for recreational use, if it were legal. I understand now that you see it as a drug that can have beneficial effects for people suffering from disease when used in a controled enviroment.
