I balance work, school, and a family. I usually limit myself to two days a week that I spend with my wife and daughter until my little one is asleep. Then my wife and I spend some alone Time (think of that what you will) and then I play from 11/12 until about 5-7ish in the morning and then go sleep beside my wife until 12. If you're doing fine in school, I think you should be allowed to play in your room as long as you're quiet on the weekends and until bed time after your homework is done.
