So, how about you wear a suit of armor and I take a 50 cal. Sniper and shoot you in the head let's see if you live. (In response to high damage sniper rifles being able to revive-kill)

Ok, let's see you run around quick scoping with a 50 cal, while we're bringing real life into it.
-
I'll probably break my shoulder, but challenge accepted it isn't impossible just highly stupid
-
I would be front and center for that attempt lol!!
-
It's a game not real life stop crying you little b*tch
-
I was responding to the real life scenario that was presented, jerk.
-
That makes no sense. You mean overshield, a mechanic to counter such, doesn't count? And why are you comparing the game to real life? By that logic, all weapons should be one shot headshot.
-
And the reason I'm bringing in real life situation is because to a point, a game has to have some realism and my thought is that sniper's resemble this. And to counter your point about a regular headshot with any gun would lead to death, there have been recorded headshots that people have lived through. For example, Malala Yousafzai the girl shot for simply going to school. And me bringing in armor gives people a relative chance of surviving regular bullet shots (if we can survive without armor, we sure as hell have a greater chance with it on). Then my final point for saying 50. Cal sniper refers to the high impact snipers only and in real life the kills where snipers of the army have shot from great distances and had a bullet decimate three enemy targets through a brick wall saving the ground team. So to sum it all up my point is from a distance and through a stone wall and made turned three enemy's into a red gushing mess, no matter how fantasy it is if you have something coating your body as a shield and your shot with a "50. Cal" sniper you shouldn't be standing, if you were it would be absolutely ludicrous unless you were immortal/ a deity.

You're still making no sense at all, as you're applying real life consequences to a video game where you can survive an entire clip from an auto rifle. It's pretty obvious all games have some hint of realism, as all stories have morals you can apply to real life and the fact that characters are humans, but none would ever fathom to take into detail tht you're going through. It's a weak counter argument and should be revised. It's as simply as that. A sniper shouldn't be able to kill overshield players, as the mechanic of the overshield is to prevent Rez camping and allow players another chance.
-
So in that case you're also saying nerf shotguns again because they one hit a rez. As well as supers, blink strike from behind, heavy weapons, and trip mine grenades?? All those 1 hit a rez might as well nerf them too. -blam!-in idiots in these forums always crying for a nerf.
-
That's your opinion and as I do agree that it is a weak argument bringing realism to fantasy. I'm just stating my reasoning for why that mechanic is still apart of destiny and will most likely never change. However, when you said I wasn't making any sense still, I disagree with that I feel like I covered up my argument as possible as I could regardless of the base arguments strength.
-
That's your opinion
Well, duh. I believe every argument is subjective.
-
Not exactly when historians debate about an event from the past by making a hypothesis on some obscure civilization they could be stating facts, that some think are opinions until proven otherwise. But that's the only exception I can think of. (Not sure if this counts, but I believe it does)

An overshield is meant to counter primaries when your pegged in the head by a sniper and hit for 417 damage when you were only meant to take 300 its 100 more damage
