I think it is pvp in general that is the nerf screamers. And like the old saying goes; "the squeaky wheel gets the oil". Pvp is and has been the most vocal about weapon balancing giving the appearance of them being catered to. I'm not saying that is true but it sure looks that way. I agree with another responder to your post that trials is bungie's proving ground for weapons not players. They won't get rid of it.
Imo pve'ers have been more resilient when dealing with the buff/nerf issues of weapon balancing. If something doesn't work well, they try something else that does and get it done. Pvp'ers may want to follow suit before calling for knee jerk reactionary nerfs.

It's really not PvP players fault for weapons getting nerfed in pve. This is bungies doing. I understand people cry nerf too often and for weapons that are ok but some are legit and I think most want a balanced game. Either their game design doesn't allow them to adjust it independently or they just don't bother.
