At first when I saw your title I was about to roll my eyes. However. You make a salient point. I dabble with trials now and then. But not enough to rage at any particular aspect of the meta. What HAS made me angry is the constant dicking about with the powerful weapons and space magic which make the game FUN. I WANT overpowered guns! I want my super to turn me into a new God! It makes PvE a joy. The thought that appeasing the hyper competitive "MLG's" makes me spit teeth...
