You don't really need to follow opposing players that far vertically since the lighting has a billion meter reach. Give or take.

In vertical maps like Thieves den, its really easy to escape a stormcaller. Though i do now just how long a reach we do have.... its nothing compared to a Voidwalker, Gunslinger, or Sunbreaker.

Except that, unlike the other supers you mentioned, you don't actually have to aim Stormtrance.

You do have to aim, though its a cone effect and the perk that expands its chaining ability widens the starting cone.
