Sweaties is such a poor term. Hate it.
But to your point, the relevance of your statement is minimal. If you have 3v3 of .75 kd players filling the lobby, then you will have close games... If you have 1.5 kd filling the lobby you will have close games.

Honestly there are to many factors that affect KDs to make it a good number to judge skill level. I agree there are some good PVP players out there. But to many people proclaim themselves to be "good". The only true way to find out is to have them go head to head. Not thru random matchmaking but at an actual tournament. Only than could people legitimize calling themselves the best or pro players. I trust Destiny matchmaking about as much as I trust their loot system.
