You should learn more before you speak. The issue isn't facing similar skilled players. It's the fact that this system doesn't prioritize connection so the crucible is full of lag.

Crucible has always been full of lag for me it was the worst during HoW or does that just mean the higher skilled players all lag and cheat, I don't know but it should be looked in to I don't see nearly as much lag as I used to

You are lucky then. For me and many I know crucible is almost unplayable.
