The gallant would make defender a shotgun force to be reckoned with. It would have to decrease the duration of ward of dawn, or else combined with armor of light defenders would be running around unlimited shotgun ammo killing people and a team of them would be holding control points indefinitely against heavy weapons and most other things aside from strikers, or nova bomb. But it would be the catalyst that makes defenders more useful in PvP.
