Yes and no in this century we should be able to build structures and travel effectively to and from Mars but the problem comes with creating a sustainable ecosystem in the sense that if we have to constantly send supplies from earth a Martian colony would be a detriment rather than a benefit therefore before a colony becomes an option we need major breakthroughs in terraforming Sorry bout punctuation I'm lazy :P
