This wouldn't have happened if the crucible didn't exist. All of my shit gets nerfed because of those idiots on planet destiny and basement streamers.

How is planet destiny at fault?
-
Their constant complaining about weapons and subclasses. They pretty much only care about the crucible and if that ain't right then the rest of the game must suck for them.
-
So you say "screw it" for half of the community for playing pvp? I bought this game because of crucible, and I'm still here.
-
Well I'm sorry to tell you but initially this game wasn't pvp centric. The crucible was an after thought and I'm ok with it being taken away for better weapons and good pve.
-
Well maybe that's true, but it is a retarded idea to remove crucible from destiny.
-
Bungie said that?
-
Look at the ads, look at the GDC conference, look at the early promotional art. This game's heart was about fighting aliens. When you watch a trailer for this game there is no mention of the crucible because that isn't it's big draw. "Cinematic" story telling and defending the last civilization is.
-
Crucible is a training place, it's lore, and it is fun. Without crucible, this game would be dead a long time ago. Peace
-
Lol, are you serious? PVE is the heart and soul of this game, the expansion is called " The taken king" not "The trials of Osiris". If pvp didn't exist the only nerfed weapon would probably be ghorn and we would have actual exotics instead of these glorified raid legendarys were getting now.
-
And there would be nothing to do. No way to mark your progress.
-
Explain.
-
What I'm about to say is an opinion but I feel like many others share it, pve gets really old. Especially after the lack of a substantial dlc for 9 months. Pvp isn't the same way and you can feel accomplished by getting better at it. The only way you can really mark yourself getting better in pve that I can think of is soloing a nightfall.
-
I see what your saying but I feel like pve would be more fun if it was the actual focus of the game. Exotics would be way more fun and satisfying to receive. People barely get happy about them anymore because they're thinking about how useless they'll be in iron banner. I remember when getting an icebreaker or Hawkmoon meant a lot, now everyone is just looking for a doctrine or longbow not to have fun protecting the last city but to get some "sick" clips for their next montage. Sorry for the wall.
-
Yeah I agree with the exotics thing. I just don't think they are special anymore because they are so easy to obtain through quests and three of coins. Exotics used to be so rare and a symbol of what you have accomplished, now they are available to buy in a vault. (I like the vault thing but it still takes away from exotics importance.) As for pve being more fun, I agree that it would be but bungie would have to have much more frequent content releases and I don't think the best way to make pve more of a focus would be to remove pvp in general.
-
I'm not saying remove pvp.... I mean I was before but that would be stupid at this point, right now I just want more unique weapons and to keep weapon fixes separate for pve and pvp.
-
I agree to an extent. They shouldn't nerf weapons but, BUFF THEM TO ANOTHER WEAPONS LEVEL.
-
I agree. I don't exactly hate crucible, but I do hate the crucible community. If that makes any sense.
-
It makes perfect sense. Those people are part of the reason why pve is so dry now. I remember exotics used to be fun and exciting.
-
I miss the good ole days. Now all I ever see on the forums is nerf this and nerf that. It has really ruined this game.
-
Bungie nerfs things according to what they think, not the community. They will only nerf or buff something they deem needs it. Hence why firebolts are still untouched but are the most talked about ability in the game on the nerf front. Still the point remains the same. Eben without pvp these items would still have gotten nerf. After all if it's op in pvp then it's op in pve. The weapon damage is the same in both modes just on a larger scale. Weapon damage reacts the same to enemies in pvp as it doesn to enemies in pve. Take the vex for example, it absolutely melted in pvp. The strongest weapons to even be in destiny. (Primary). For those of us who also used to vanilla vex in pve also new that with 3 of them you could take out strike bosses faster than 3 ghorns. Bungie new it was a problem, they fixed it. They over fixed it but still. Same goes for the rest of the weapons. Take the mida. Losing its high caliber rounds was necessary, using it in pve bassically made any enemy ai useless Untill they died, they couldn't react at all. Exotics weren't meant to make pve a cake walk. If it's op in pvp it's op in pve. For most party anyway.

Yeah it's really sad.
