The problem is that Exotics are suppose to be unique, not powerful. That's where the focus should be. The Exotic perks for those weapons and armor should be more unique; they should stand out more.
There's really only a handful they can be considered truly [i]Exotic[/i], such as the Twilight Garrison, Nothing Manacles, Last Word, Thorn, Queen Breaker's Bow, Bad Juju, Celestial Nighthawk, Sleeper Simulant, the Exotic Swords, Lord of Wolves, Gjallarhorn, Invective, Zhalo Supercell, Icebreaker, and Vex Mythoclast.
Most of the rest are just kinda "bleh". Hunters got the worst of them. The Skyburners Annex, for instance. Heavy weapon kills have a chance to produce orbs of Light. The f[b]u[/b]ck kinda Exotic is that? You'd think it would do something like "explosions from Golden Gun's Combustion chain". Not…[i]that[/i].

Heavy weapon kills grant orbs for your teammates how is that bad? Not to mention picking up orbs gives you more special ammo....

That helm actually procs at a decent rate and it helps with pushing supers out. It's one of the better pve helmets to be honest.
