I don't care about the rest, but Doom Multiplayer is garbage. Things there need a buff to be competitive, only a few of the weapons are viable. That sniper load out is pretty much going to win you games, you could suck at aiming and it'll drop your enemies.

See I thought this at first too. Then I remembered that I had been playing Destiny for too long and nothing else. DOOM is great in PvP once you wash your mind of the infection that is thinking of things in Destiny terms. I rek with alot of things in DOOM.

Negative ghost rider, feel free to view my profile as it's linked. I've been gone for awhile and I still consider DOOM *the newest one* to have awful pvp. Give me some quake arena style of DOOM pvp any day.

I mean, cool you have your opinion, it's your right to call whatever you want garbage. The point is, consider that Destiny is coloring your opinion is all I'm saying. So far I have found all sorts of load outs that kill just fine and I don't see only one weapon wrecking at all. Sorry man, I just don't see it. Also, not doubting you are doing well. I never implied anything on your ability, just saying, in my view (based on no metas and personally having success with many load outs and seeing multiple weapons kill me) it's pretty balanced.

The viewing of the profile was to show that Destiny is hardly, as you put it, coloring my opinion... For a game that I haven't played in forever why would I make comparisons to it? As for no weapon dominating more than the other? Everytime I load it up I see 3 weapons and 3 weapons only, the sniper rifle, the super shotgun and the electric gun*you know, the one that builds the charge based on movement. And considering the type of game DOOM multiplayer is then it makes sense why it's so good*. Everything else is so far below that it isn't even on the radar. I haven't been killed, or hell, seen anyone use a Chaingun or a Plasma Gun, not even one of the Argent Hellblasters or whatever you call them. Even the rocket launcher doesn't get used. It's not a matter of preference, it's the guns themselves.

Ah, I gotcha. Yes, I did misunderstand on the profile thing. I don't know how we're seemingly playing 2 different games. I see every weapon kill me in DOOM plenty of times. I personally never ever use the sniper, motion gun thing or super shot gun and I have over a 1 K/D right off the bat in DOOM but I've only played a few hours. I mainly use the chaingun, assault rifle or plasma rifle and do fine. I will agree that the rocket launcher is garbage. They should just remove that and make it a special weapon pick up and buff the hell out of it. I feel like there's at least slight exaggeration in how you only see X weapons, which is what runs rampant in Destiny. Stuff like "EVERYONE used Thorn in Y1", when no, not EVERYONE did. That kind of thing. I agree to disagree with you on DOOM with respecting your opinion at the same time.

Game balance is not an "infection" nor is it a "Destiny term".

Having to explain that alone worries me about spending time on this response, unless you forgot #satire of course. Sorry, "balance" in Destiny is quite the infection. The type that only bus stop hookers can bestow upon you. Especially the PvP centric players that pimp it. Meta's everywhere, PvE and PvP players at each other's throats, Bungie bending over for the whiners destorying weapon after weapon. Yep, that's some balance.......... I play Destiny almost everyday and have been since Day 1. I've been gaming everyday for about 28 years of my 35 on this Earth. Destiny is filled with quasi scholars on what balance should be and everyone's crying all at once is ruining the game point blank. Destiny isn't even on dedicated servers lol. Let's have that happen first before we hold up Destiny as some bastion of gaming while games like DOOM that just came out are on dedicated servers and are pretty balanced with no noticeable "meta" that I see to this point.
