I remember doing the strike for Thorn solo (before I found sites like destinylfg.com), like last october or so, I had Icebreaker and a blue arc sniper. I had gotten IB the week before, I had been stocking up on an insane amount of special ammo to do the strike. It took me 2 and a 1/2 or 3 hours to get though it without dying. I remember it popping up on the loot and I took a long breath, sat back and felt relived. I actually got a good feeling of accomplishment from that. Nothing since then has hit that high. Athlon was fun, Crota felt like you were on a conveyor belt and I haven't done the newest one yet. But nothing has felt like that since. I loved using it in the crucible because of all the effort that went into getting it.
