If exotics were truly rare, they'd be great. But if they were truly rare, it would suck to only be able to use one at a time. I'd love to see actual rare, OP exotics that you can equip as you see fit. It'd make it cool to see, even in pvp. Imagine that truly 1/1,000,000 weapon. Even if it killed me in pvp, I'd be happy to say I saw one.
This is basically what the hawkmoon once was.

I got the Hawkmoon from a legendary engram. I loved telling people about that one. I really miss those days.

I was in love with hand cannons. I beat the hive strike, pulled primary and heavy engrams. Immediately returned to the tower and opened Truth and Hawkmoon. Had to leave for work, and the whole day I was distracted by thoughts of shooting faces with hawk.

Edited by seraphic_thunder: 6/7/2016 3:03:02 AMI'd love nothing more than to see most of the exotics obtained through a quest.

I like the quest theme, but there's a balance there that I don't think Bungie can achieve: make the quest accessible enough for everyone to have a chance but hard enough to maintain scarcity. I don't see them coming up with a well-balanced task to make the all-quest exotic theme viable. They'd also certainly leave enough glitches that the reward would become certain.

I feel that Thorn, Chaperone, and Invective would be good examples of a quest that kinda required competence in both PvE and PvP without making it near impossible. I think it would be better left to as less chance as possible (vanguard missives, requiring Last Word) but left more up to the discovery leading into the trail of the quest. Bungie would more than likely definitely have issues.

I guess I just don't trust these assholes to hit the balance.

I expect them to probably nerf fusion rifles again.

They'll nerf everything again eventually. I'm disappointed with the HC nerf. I left destiny for a break about a year ago, came back, and my favorites are all much less effective (except hawkmoon, still sick).

I finally managed to pull myself away a month ago, came back and played 2 matches of pvp which solidified my choice of staying away.
