you didnt CREATE a new character. But it was an entirely new character and everything was new. Brand new. same thing.
they erased ALL of your progress, weapons, armor, you started from scratch.

Every expansion you get new weapons, new armor, and higher light levels to achieve. That's NOT starting over. Starting over is having nothing. No light, level 1, starting gear, etc.

Not the same thing. It was not a new character You still had your existing supers and weapons and armor. It was the light level shift away from year 1 light level that made us all start with green. Kotako is talking about creating new characters entirely.
