Souls,
Diablo 3 had a very good character migration system when they released reaper of souls and XBOX ONE versions. For folks such as myself,
I had to migrate my Xbox360 characters to the ONE/ROS version. I had all characters maxed out with tons of high level items and it was all transferred no problem.
If blizzard can make it that easy, I'm sure bungie can figure something out.

What? They let you bring over characters from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3? Oh you were talking about an expansion pack..

Lol noooo I wish. That would be cool as hell though. I was referring to D3 to the D3 expansion. The migrations from platform/console was pretty smooth.

It's was just a migration thing though, the game didn't change it just had a new pack out. Same thing with d2 and its expansion it was still the same game. But that whole character migration ruined the game, sooo many hacked items thanks to last gen.

True but the migration situation would be the same for destiny, wouldn't you think? And additionally, moving from old gen to next gen consoles AND switching titles from original D3 to ROS was slightly nerve-racking, and still a risk of loss.
