So basically, you don't want any new games. You just want a series of expansions. Do you really think that they won't make you grind all over again? It's like you forgot what they're all about. You're going to need to invest a crap load of time in year 1 of D2 or it looks like a failure compared to year D1 stats. We all remember how much mindless grinding took place in year 1 and a lot of that time had to do with the starting with 3 fresh characters.

  • Hmm, so making the game a hand out is better? Nothing personal it's just knowing Bungie made Ttk worse then y1.

  • Personally, I'm all for a full reset. I don't see the big deal and the emotional attachment people have with their characters' progression is silly. Part of the experience of Destiny was starting from nothing and becoming what we are now. Giving us our old abilities and gear to start with would take away that experience in Destiny 2. Also, I think the only way to get the kind of balance that they've unsuccessfully been trying to achieve is to wipe the slate clean and start fresh with the idea of a balanced game behind their decision making. Let's just hope that D2 has an independent PvP mode this time.

Screwing over the PvE gamers for the sake of PvP. They will start you out like y1 but not have the same power weapons etc. The game will be over hyped with a lot of false staments like they have and still do. Me personally I don't find myself wasting my time to go through everything that has happened so far. Seriously though, adding an irreverent raid that should have been in the game a year-and a half ago? A COD stupid game mode? Still keeping the borders closed just change the scenery on the planet. This game that's built of that type of mentality has no future.

  • I would love a series of expansions..build upon vanilla destiny for years and years

  • That's not their plan. Everyone fell in love with the "10 year plan" that never actually existed. It was a 10 year contract but not a game that expands off of vanilla over a 10 year span.

  • It the same formula every game has with the exception of like WoW. Battlefield 4 didn't let you start with stuff unlocked just because you played the previous ones. Plus, they can't even balance the character subclasses they have now, I'd hate to see how they handle throwing even more in the mix.

  • The only way to make a balanced game is to diitch the mess they've created with Destiny 1. I don't see why everyone's so afraid to loose their gear and progress. It seems like a lazy approach to having a new game come out. They've already shown how much they care about leaving stuff behind by the way they handled the year 1 stuff being left behind in the current game.

Because destiny feels more like a story,a continuation, then a sequel after sequel experience..I know with what we got it isn't as epic as everyone hoped it would be but I feel that it still can be. Then try to make "your" guardian so special ,it just seems kinda depressing to say "ok,you've been on this journey for 2 years now, with these character you've grown quite fond of.were gonna do away with them and you'll be starting fresh"

  • Of course it's gonna be a grind. That's the game. No different than WoW.
