WoW has never had a sequel, only expansions. Warcraft the game did not carry over progression from sequel to sequel. I think they should carry over for Destiny 2, only because the game is supposed to be a revolutionary 10-year experience. That being said I'm an alt-aholic and I love re-experiencing the story from the ground up so I'd likely build new characters for D2 anyway.
