Because some people clearly can't be trusted to spend theirs wisely. Look at the current banking crisis as an example. Personally, to each their own on how you spend your money (if you earned it), but even I'd agree rn that pre-ordering Destiny 2 without seeing gameplay is....a very uneducated decision.
