Lmao just not true. Everyone could not preorder right now and yea things may be hectic for a short bit but they will work out.
Preorders are bad for many reasons. Making publishers feel rushed to release a game on the day they said they would is just one reason. Makes games be rushed and makes for lots of games with shitty releases.

Not really. They delay games all the time.
-
Oh yea? What was the last big name titled game that was pushed back?
-
IDK. I don't follow everything. Last one I know is Rainbow Six Siege, but that's one of the last games I've gotten so I don't know.
-
What you stated is incorrect and untrue on so many levels.

Care to elaborate?

Your assumption that there is some correlation between pre-orders and game quality is suspect. There is no factual evidence to prove this. People keep referencing YouTube videos as if that means something. By the time developers announce preorders, game development is mostly complete, back end fine tuning, tweaks, etc... People keep ignoring the fact that game assets are sent to publishers which then work to have game disc created, packaged and shipped to thousands of distributors. Not to mention the shitshow when the game is released internationally. This takes months, not days or weeks. Secondly, at least in the U.S., the development studios don't have access to preorder funds until after game release. Giving you ample time to review the game play the beta and determine if you want to keep or cancel your preorder. The burden is solely on the developer to provide the best possible product to ensure that the consumer wants to buy their product (read game)

Tags not even true. If a publisher announced a date and they can't stick to it, tags their fault a bad company. Preorders have no effect on that.

Edited by zbeshears: 4/12/2017 11:43:27 PMBullshit! If a company says our game is coming on April first next year, they start selling preorders in August and sell 500k in preorders. When they realize that their is problems With the alpha and beta they usually don't have time to fix it. Or in even shittier cases, like in destinies, you have certain devs and such that get into pissing contests and then quit and take all their intellectual property with them. Which is exactly what happened to destiny and precisely why the story was absolutely weak as -blam!- and really made no damn sense when it came out.
destinies
I don't normally join the Grammar Gestapo, but it's Destiny's Possessive apostrophe.

Thank you for adding so much into the conversation! Also autocorrected to that soooo.... I guess whenever I start getting graded on these forums I'll start proofreading.
