Then go play another game. Destiny's core mechanics were designed around the fact that Guardians were some Space Magic wielding badasses.

It wasn't until the end of destiny that they made abilities stronger than guns. Don't give me that "this is how it started" BS

Edited by THE SARGE 01: 7/22/2017 5:55:26 PMI don't know about you or anyone else, but when I watched a Reveal back in 2013 or 2014 where there was a fireteam making its way through a fallen infested Cosmodrome Wall; the hing that caught my attention was the Space Magic wielding Warlock decimating a Devil Walker. I saw the same Warlock wielding a Pulse Rifle as a primary Weapon and a Hand Cannon ad a secondary, but I had seen that i other shooters so it was pretty standard stuff. Space Magic was a pretty meat mechanic I wanted to see in a shooter.
-
Then play any other shooter than Destiny because the abilities are what make Destiny special. Take that away and its a generic shooter, but maybe you like generic.
-
Abilities should compliment the guns, not overwhelm them. The end of D1 was a joke.
-
Agreed, but since players kept complaining about OP stuff. While nerfs began to pile up, weapons took a backseat to abilities.
-
That's where my problem lies. Maybe it's just a breath of fresh air having gun fights again. I will agree that the recharge rates in the beta are ridiculously slow. However I feel when we get better armor and whatnot everything will be faster.
-
Hopefully they fixed it like they claimed in the Weekly Update. Id like to see a higher bonus super for with every kill. On a good game, a player should be able to have his Super 2 times, not just once right before the end. I'd like Bungie to sprinkle a little more Space Magic awesomeness on D2. I preordered the game back in March, but canceled it yesterday after having tried the Beta. The disappointment was real! Does not mean that I will not get the game, but it is going to take a lot more effort from Bungie to make me take the bait this time around.
-
I'm not cancelling, we barely saw any of the game. However, I do agree 2 supers per round unless you're not contributing ya know? If someone is 4-11 they shouldn't get theirs twice. Again, with better armor out ability cooldowns will be better as well.

The armor only affects mobility, recovery, and resiliency.
