This is another point of feedback I am seeing a lot of. I'll make sure the team sees this and knows that you would like to see some RNG in the weapon rolls again.
Personally, I never enjoyed having to level up a gun to unlock its perks. But appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Dude, YES! I love the unified understanding!
-
Without rng rolls there is no reason to do an activity more than once.
-
No, don't make me go back to leveling weapons. I beseech thee.
-
I much prefer the way Destiny 2 is. More time to use and play with guns, less chasing to get the right roll.
-
Anyone that took 2 mins to think about it could easily derive from logic how static rolls would be bad for the game... yet, they were implemented. How is that possible? Could it be that releasing RNG guns as "new" content later was deemed a good marketing ploy? Shameful.
-
A good deal of us brought it up at the time it was announced.
-
Don’t change a thing. Nothing worse than trying to get the perfect roll just to be competitive with everyone else who has the time to farm weapons. As for levelling up weapons that was just garbage.
-
I disagree, the fun of D1 with weapons was chasing after that weapon roll

Edited by CrazyMatt1851: 9/27/2017 12:06:12 PMNot when you had to do the same shit for months and months to get. Too boring. Too grindy. I think expanding the mod system would be a better way to go, maybe add another perk you could put a mod on.
-
There isn’t a right way to fix it, however they need to do something to improve it. I just hope they do it soon
-
I think you’ll find most people didn’t enjoy chasing the perfect roll. Especially people with any semblance of a life.

Wrong idiot. People who want static guns don't play destiny !! Wake up ! Destiny isn't competitive and never will be . Grinding the roll and weapons was destiny .. game is dead
-
This. People who want static guns go play cod or battlefield, that isnt what this game is meant to be.
-
Don't care about lvl up a gun but random perks would be nice . I still catch my self checking a gun to see what perks i have . Then i realize their the same =(
-
Please don't. I'd rather have more weapons with thoughtful, prerolled perks so when I tell someone I have a "_____", they don't have to say "WHAT PERKS?" Seriously, that made D1 weapons garbage and you could have different weapons with the SAME EXACT PERKS AND ARCHETYPE with DIFFERENT NAMES. Garbage system.

I feel like the mods was a good way to go. It could simply be expanded a bit to help with the feel of these weapons being too similar.

I disliked the random gun rolls and still have flashbacks to farming Grasp of Malok before Omnigul was the nightfall. In rise of iron, you reached a fair compromise by making the vendor weapons that could be purchased reroll each week. I wouldn't have a problem with you bringing something like that back, but anything that drops by rng, should have a set roll. Let us buy guns from the vendors that re-roll each week. Leave the ones that drop the way they are.
-
Not all of us like rng. Make your gunsmith do some work in the game by allowing players to put perks in the guns we want. Say we have to farm materials, do a quest, and find stuff out in the wilds to be used as the components to make this stuff. Running the same strike 1000+ times just to get the 3 perks to line up just right is tedious and boring.
-
It's not just the weapons. Being forced to stack a stat like mobility just to wear the armor you think looks cool is a major let down. It litterally removes an entire goal for most players. The goal of looking the way you want with the stats you prefer.

Make exotics great again

THANKS COZMO ! ! We miss your rolls ! ! You gotta trim that belly fat, tho. You're get' round that "heart attack" range, boy.
-
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I love how it is now. I hated farming for the perfect roll and NEVER getting it (Matador). I like that the weapons are the same for everyone. If anything is changed then add another perk option but leave out RNG perks to weapons.
