Exposing my own naivete here, how would someone get my IP address? I can't imagine that Bungie just lists that for anyone to see. Wouldn't Bungie's own servers act as a clearing house anyway?

Because of the p2p anyone can grab ips of anyone else in the same lobby. In a dedicated server, they would have to join a party to get it. This is why people want dedicated servers so badly. It would seriously put a huge dent in the number of ipflood attacks
