I'll make sure the security team sees your report. We don't allow accusations that include player names to be posted publicly here on the forums because it leads to witch hunting, but you can report suspected cheaters using this form.
We do issue bans and restrictions for a wide array of cheating including modification or interruption of Destiny 2 network traffic with intent to disrupt the experience of other players or to gain an advantage in the game.
For more information on what constitutes cheating and how bans and restrictions work, you can visit our Restrictions and Banning Policies article.

I agree, but from my personal experience I have not run into many cheaters at all in my lifetime of playing online and I play a -blam!- ton. So either they are doing a good job eliminating cheating or there just isn't as many to cause an escalated issue on their behalf. Also i imagine player shaming is not good PR for a company which I assume it mainly comes down to in the end. I probably got off topic there but I'm sure you get my point lol

Im sorry im late what proof was given from his isp? Because all i see is him saying his isp contacted him
-
They literally contact him saying the DDOS happened
-
Yes yes i get thats what hes saying however thats not proof? Thats him telling us something that we would have to believe because he cant show evidence of the call or what the call said you know? The only way we could tell is knowing the names and checking their history to see how frequently it happens and thats not possible cause bungie took the names out. So its still innocent no?
-
We are not all Philadelphia lawyers here. If the gist of the story is true i tend to believe all of it. If that person is lying ... well its his problem not mine.
-
Terrible way of thinking and makes you sound like an absolute idiot lmfao. And im still looking for tbat proof of it being true
-
Not really, the proof was there but Bungie hid it.
-
All players need to just start reporting both the cheaters who ddos and Bungie for not doing anything about it to the FBI then maybe when the feds get involved Bungie will be forced to protect their player base!!
-
lol @ when the feds get involved
-
What's wrong with witch hunting? Network manipulation isn't just cheating, it's illegal and you guys don't do your job when it comes to that. I for one will NOT abide by that policy. I WILL expose their gamertag as SHOULD be done
-
dang, someone is getting ddos'd and the best you can do is reply with a generic copy and paste response? this shows just how much you guys care about the player base
-
Right!
-
Dude those are macro keys i am willing to bet. Prewritten answers distributed out to everyone on the forum.
-
i wouldnt be surprised if these people were chat bots, they have shown no proof to think otherwise... wait, chat bots are more interactive
-
Thank you for your robotic response that Im sure the "security team" will get to right away. How about you guys do a little research and find out who is actually responsible for the doss attacks because I can single handedly tell you several responsible parties. It is more prevalent in the comp playlist and several of them like to hang out in this streamers chat --> "arsis". Think of him as their ring leader.
-
I second this. Start cracking down on this nonsense.

Trials is broken so bad that you took it offline. All that asshattery waterfalls down into Competitive and QuickPlay with your new ranking system. What did you think was going to happen, all those paid carries were going to evapourate once Trails was gone? PvP is so broken that you have to take part of it offline but the underlying problem still exists. That's like turning a server off once it's been compromised and then turning it back on and hoping the compromise is magically gone or that the people who were ferreting around in it will lose interest and go on to the next. That's an incredibly naive method of managing your game. If you really took this problem seriously, it'd be fixed by now. You've had well enough time to do so. Bungie simply lack the gumption to do it. The architecture is bad and you won't make the necessary adjustments. You probably believe it costs more to do so than the cost of the number of players you'll lose if you leave it as is. What do you think that will cost you in terms of future savvy gamers, gamers who will remember this debacle?
-
Considering that Bungie does not take DDOS serious your only option is to report it to the FBI
-
Why are you guys even protecting cheaters from a witch hunt? They deserve what they get.

Repeatedly cheating, even using names to take the piss out of you. Anyway, you're just a spineless, pride lacking apologist for Bungie so you'll only stick to the line you are told to deliver. Don't forget to remove your spine before replying.

Everyday, as in everyday of the week, Luna recovs posts on your on forums, and everyday, as in everyday of the week, the posts are still there.

Anyone that wants cheaters named and shamed can pm their names and I will name and shame the individuals as I feel no desire to play Destiny and consequently do not care about restrictions. It is absolutely ridiculous for bungie to cover up the fact that they exist! These players that desire to dominate other players with a scripted machanic are a plaque on multiplayer games and need to be hunted down and revealed soo they know they can not get away with it. If you soo desire bungie we can all quit playing your game and just let the hackers have free roam to destroy your so called masterpiece!

How often do you really run into cheaters? (Honestly curious) I have been playing TONS of multiplayer on xbox live for close to 15 years now and post original xbox days I have not seen more than a handful of "cheaters" and dont think I have seen a single one in destiny 2 yet.
-
J-tag is more common on xbox than playstation but what do I know!
