I’ve completed raids using lfg. That’s 6 randoms is it not? Could be a shit outcome or it could be successful. No different than matchmaking. You may have a better chance with lfg, but then with optional matchmaking, that’s MY choice to make.
God forbid developers do that for me.

A team where a member controls who is accepted and who gets the boot for the various reasons I listed is not at all like mm where you're stuck with whatever group you get. Also if we acknowledge even with lfg half the time you get a group that cannot finish the raid how would a full group of 6 randoms work? It would lead to wasted dev time and resources which are things I pay for as much as you and would rather see go towards something actually productive and would likely lead to raids having thier mechanics nerfed to accommodate the low skill ceiling random players require to complete activities.

Yeah, well, I like playing the game. I don’t care about completions or grinding for everything in the game. That’s why I have like several alt accounts. So my first instinct isn’t taking yet more time to run through raid report or some other website to check completions. I play with anyone and everyone. There’s a lot of people like me, a lot of people like you. Why should only one side be satisfied, when all can be? It seems you’re fine using my money to make you happy while I get shafted!

Good news then, theres plenty of activites you can enjoy where you can shoot ads in pve. If you dont care about actually completing the raid then I 100% understand why youd want raid mm - and you also prove my point why it should never happen. You have the same options as every raider in this game. Add some people or lfg a group. I dont expect bungie to hand me a raid team, raid mm would be a waste of resources and would likely dumb down encouters to boost mm completion numbers - something that every raider will dislike
